Whatever your vessel; sailing yacht or commercial craft, motor yacht or warship and whatever the type of propulsion system you require, we can provide you with exactly the right solution. Although best known for our modern Autoprop feathering and Varifold folding propellers, Bruntons have been designing and manufacturing propellers and sterngear for all types and sizes of vessels for over 100 years. The group to which we belong can trace its beginnings back even further, to the earliest days of screw propulsion. This experience, together with our advanced research, design and manufacturing facilities, enables us to provide total propulsion solutions of the highest quality and performance. Originally millwrights and agricultural engineers Bruntons began manufacturing propellers in 1908. World War One provided the company and its staff with a steep learning curve and by the end of the war the company had already achieved an excellent reputation in the marine field. In 1958 Bruntons joined forces with Stone Manganese Marine who manufacture propellers for the largest ships and this gave Bruntons access to unique metallurgy and marine technology skills. A more recent partnership with Stone Marine Singapore Pty has allowed the development of a sophisticated and competitive manufacturing facility which is more than able to cope with the demands of high quality, competitive pricing and reliable delivery. Bruntons and its sister companies are part of one of the worlds largest marine propulsion specialist groups, The Stone Marine Group, itself part of Langham Industries. Langham Industries is a privately owned UK business whose portfolio also includes Portland Harbour, Stone Foundries and Tridan Engineering. As part of Langham Industries Bruntons benefits from continuing investment which has enabled the company to develop a diverse portfolio of fixed and variable pitch propellers, together with a full range of supporting products and services – a total propulsion solution!
